Jacques Émile Blot (French 1885-1960), lived and worked in Paris for his entire life.
Absolutely charming etching number 4 of just 30, depicting a young lady with her chin resting on her left hand. Numbered in pencil lower left margin, signed in the print and signed lower right margin in pencil.
The image is offset in a large mount with a bespoke aperture cut on the left.
The image in the aperture, including margins, measures 15 x 12 cm (5.91 x 4.72 inches). The image is on thin paper which bears some creasing over the edition number lower left. We have straightened the crease shown on the photograph where the mount is open so the edition number now sits straight and visible in the mount aperture.
The mount is discoloured to the lower edge and left edge. The overall mount measures 48 x 31 cm (18.9 x 12.2 inches).
